"Mommy, the pumpkins outside are black and yucky."

"I know, honey.  They're rotting." 

"What is rotting?"

"When food or plants are picked and they get old, they get stinky and go bad.  Tomorrow is garbage day, so I'll get rid of them then."

"But the white pumpkin doesn't look bad, it just looks saggy.  Like a old person.  Like..."

"Like the old lady on 'The Incredibles'?"

"No, like..."

"Like Santa Claus?"
